With 40 years of experience in addressing America’s massive shortage of affordable rental homes, Enterprise is the only national nonprofit that does it all – solutions, capital and community development – under one roof.

The Enterprise Development and Communications team generates philanthropic and government support for Enterprise’s affordable housing and community development programs throughout the United States. Reporting to the Vice President of Development, the Senior Director of Development will be responsible for identifying and cultivating resources to support a portfolio of Enterprise markets and national programs. Ideally residing in the Midwest, preferably in Detroit, the Senior Director will be a strategic leader within the department that drives collaboration with colleagues on the Resource Development Team as well as program colleagues on the Solutions Team to develop strategies to maximize philanthropic/programmatic resources from corporations, foundations, individuals and government sources.

The right leader for this “career opportunity” will be an experienced fundraising professional who has demonstrated strategic leadership experience as well as a proven track record of cultivating and soliciting national funders with giving capacities of $5M+. Their passion for the mission will drive their hard work and initiative to find new funding opportunities and relationships.
