Zion Christian School in Bryon Center, Michigan, a southeast suburb of Grand Rapids, is currently seeking its next Secondary School Principal. This is an exciting time in the life of ZCS as it continues to grow, enhancing its position in the community to impact the region through providing education within the Reformed Biblical worldview. Today, ZCS has over 320 students in Pre-K through 12^th grade representing families from over 60 churches in the area. Located in a growing area of greater Grand Rapids, ZCS is positioned to continue its impact and influence by holding firm to their distinct values that make them a unique choice for Christian education. As such, the Board of ZCS is looking for the next Secondary School Principal who will enable them to continue the quest for excellence that has been its hallmark since inception over 20 years ago.

A unique opportunity awaits the right individual who is a strong leader, administrator, and educator with passion for Christian education. This new Principal will assume responsibility for the high school that has performed well and continues to prepare students for their next step whether higher education or moving into the workforce. This individual will replace the current Secondary School Principal who is retiring after being a part of ZCS since its inception. The successful candidate will be a servant-leader, firmly grounded in Biblical principles and fully committed to the integration of faith and learning in the covenant tradition of “home, school, and church” as the core for preparing students for their life ahead. This individual will be spiritually mature, have a heart for children, and possess the ability to connect with a broad range of students and families.

The Secondary School Principal will be Christ-centered with strong convictions and thoroughly committed to ZCS’s mission and distinct values with a passion for seeing children develop with a sound foundation in all areas of their lives. A Bachelor’s degree is required and a Master’s degree in Education or related area is preferred though not required. Successful candidates will have successfully performed in the classroom and served in leadership roles to support the continued work of ZCS.
