This is an exciting opportunity to join the leadership team of Olive Crest, who for over 45 years has served children suffering from or at-risk of abuse and neglect through prevention and education with the goal of preserving families where possible.  To continue to meet growing needs in areas they serve, Olive Crest is seeking its next Chief Development Officer (CDO) who will provide strategic leadership and direction to all aspects of resource development and fundraising for the organization.  In doing so, the next CDO will have a proven track record of developing and leading a comprehensive development/fundraising effort and be responsible for shaping and executing Olive Crest’s development strategy, while overseeing and directing planning, marketing and communications, personnel, and development operations.

The new CDO will have a passion for and commitment to Olive Crest’s mission and the individuals and families they serve.  Candidates will have the background and experience to work closely with the leadership team and staff to ensure the fundraising strategy, programs and team reflect the needs of the organization today and are adaptable to the future.  The new CDO will lead in the development and execution of strategies and plans, helping to shape the overall organizational culture and approach to fundraising at Olive Crest.  The new CDO will lead the effort to strengthen Olive Crest’s capacity to raise those funds necessary to continue to impact communities it serves as the leading provider of services in sound and lasting ways.

The next CDO will be a dynamic leader and strong communicator with proven success in leading development and fundraising in a non-profit organization.  He/She will understand the principles of philanthropy, the processes of fundraising, and be a strong manager and team builder with an adherence to Olive Crest’s commitment to honor Biblical principles and values.
