We are excited to announce a wonderful opportunity to serve as the next Executive Director of BethanyKids, a Christ-centered non-profit organization transforming the lives of African children with surgical conditions and disabilities through pediatric surgery, rehabilitation, public education, spiritual ministry, and training health professionals.

The US-based Executive Director will work remotely and report to the Bethany Kids International Board. As the organization's senior leader, the Executive Director will hold general management responsibility for the  accomplishment of BK’s crucial mission while also paying specific attention to the organization’s long-term fiscal growth through more focused and effective multi-channel fundraising. The Executive Director will provide guidance and support to BK’s African programs working in close partnership with the Africa Director in Kenya.

An all encompassing leadership role for an organization whose staff and critical programs reside overseas, the Executive Director will need to be adept at both inward-looking strategic leadership and fiscal management as well as outward-looking leadership in the areas of advocacy, fund development, and awareness-building. S/he should also be a strong and consistent communicator  - full of grace, capable of patiently and effectively moving an organization forward that straddles two vastly different cultures. Cross-cultural understanding will therefore be a vital success factor for the right candidate.
